btw. did you know that most of the knights fought with their sword lets say upside down? If they have it in their hands, the sword points to the ground not to the sky. This was because if you want to hit someone you raise your arm and then you are vunerable. If you fight the sword upside down, your side is protectet by the sword and the sword is at the right high for the infantery. BUT this only workd with knight/infantery, not knight vs. knight, there they used it the normal way....
I was very suprised to hear that but it really makes sense if you try it at the reenactment. Btw, the same way they used riding axes or the horesemans pick against the infantery.
I really like thei dio but you've made a little mistake. The knight are on the wrong side. Right now they are engaging themselves with the right side (weaponside) face the enemy. Normally the point the shieldside towards the enemy to protect their body. The lance was pointed from the ride side behind the horses neckt towards the enemy on the knights left front.
Well as I wrote, I felt my King wasn't at the right competition here and didn't found the time for a new set. But lets see what the future will bring, I would feel well with an 5th place or so
Speaking about Assassins, they used to wear no protection at all, exept their clothes. This was because they needed to act very quick an usually didn't flee after their work were done. So they often use "long knifes" instead of a sword.
Maybe some ideas for your, right now, perfekt set?
But think about this: sometimes they used a thread. They were above their sleeping victim and let poison flew into their mouth along a thread. Maybe a nice vignette to build?
Well here are two knights with their servants on the way to, whatever you want, the crusade, a war, her home and so on....there is a bad guy at this dio, which usually attacks people, lets say a robber....*gg* but I think, he changed his mind after he saw how many strangers appeared.....
