Hi All,

Well yes that is the Price for being innovative. There are basically three ways of doing the medieval ship business:

1) Make a model of a ship and have it made as injection piece, Price for 1st sample about 10.000 euro
2) Make the models in resin, problem is that the material can not handle the Construction and Price pr. ship will be close to the current, and Money must be invested in a stock.
3) 3D printing, Price is rather high, but quality is great, no stock and Price for first sample is only design and actual print cost. And this allowed me to go to market with 6 totally different ships (more then Zvezda has done in 6 years) and also more will come. remember that these are printed on demand = no Cash tired in stock = Money to make new figures, ships etc.
...and the ships come assembled! So if time is Money

And 65 for a big model as the riverboat, 61 for a big ship as a Knarr, I actually think that this Price is fair (20% is actually the VAT). Then there is about 52 to cover the Development cost, the actual production and a Little profit... about 5-7 euro

But Again, if you do not like them, do not buy them

I understand the costs of producing things have to be covered by the sale of the products, Basic economics, but Like or not..and I do like them, as I said, without winning the lottery impossible for me to buy.

Well with the size of your army you must spend quite a lot on the hobby, so 65 euro for transporting the crusaders to war should be possible ;0)

Hope you win the lottery and welcome to the future.

PS Shapeways do sometimes give an offer on white strong and flexible of 10-15% and this will automatically be reduced. Also if you have a company you can use your VAT number and buy cheaper.

I spend nearly nothing, I hope to get test painting or spend a lot of time converting /scratchbuilding.. no work = no spare Money.

I´ve thought of that but for two reasons I think i won´t
1. The amount that I´d have to paint to make any sort of Money would have to be massive and I´d have to be at it all the time, with no time for my own Projects, which would turn a Hobby into a Job..meaning I would Need a new Hobby.
2. Most popular things to paint are GW elves etc....which I don´t like painting en masse.

I don´t mind painting occasional things that don´t fit into my chaotic Programme but to have to stick to a Routine and paint things to order...yuk!
