Very cool ship! There is a opening for the landing board? It was so real? What is the length of the model?

Well I have seen several illustrations showing this ramp. During the Roman and Greek era in this area they did have ramps on most of the large ships, so I definitely think that this is plausible. I think that the model will be about 23cm long.

Here you can see how the ship will look like (without the ramp at the front)

Exactly what I think.
There is mention of boats with landing ramps for the horses...I will try and find them

Yes and my plan is to bribe Alex to do a small set with a horse walking down the ramp and a soldier hiolding the rein and a knight mounting his horse

Found another reference, not the one i was looking for but it mentions the same quotes;

The second Quote link from Robert de Clari (a Knight from Picardy) doesn´t work but here´s the whole account

Thanks, just try to imagine how cool such a medieval landing scene must have been. Great ships landing on the shore while arrows and stones are shot at them. After a few seconds the bridges/ramps are put down... infantry poor out protecting themselves behind their shields, archers shooting back. Then the knights and the horses start to go aboard and after just a few minutes the infatry shield wall opens and the heavy cavalry charges across the sand towards the enemy shouting "In Hoc Signo" and the sound of hundreds of horses charging are overwhelming till they clash into the defenders with the high sound of steel against steel and the agony cries of hundreds of wounded and dying souls...

Well that is my diorama idea

Thanks, I am also very pleased with the look so far. Still a lot of details which needs to be done, but this does give the idea about the layout of the ship.
